Review - Personal Microderm Tool

I was given the opportunity to try the Personal Microderm Tool or PMD for short.  I will admit I was a little nervous to try it.  See I have pretty sensitive skin and I was not sure how my skin would react.  But I finally decided it was time to quit being a scaredy cat and give it a try so I tried it out over the past weekend.

The first step is to wash your face and dry thoroughly.  Then as the DVD instructions suggest I tested a small area just below my ear to see how my skin would react.  The area I tried was a little red but it went away quickly.  Since it didn't seem to bother my skin I decided to try it on my face. As suggested I used the practice disk for my first treatment.  The PMD tool comes with the practice disk already installed.  You swipe the tool over your face in an upward motion while holding your skin tight with the other hand.  I thought this was going to be difficult because I am not the most coordinated person in the World but I quickly got the hang of it.   As suggested I used toner on my face after the treatment.  Then I washed the tool with antibacterial soap as suggested and set it out to dry for the next use.

I could tell that the PMD tool was working even after one use.  I had a couple of bumps that I could feel were noticeably smoother.  I will definitely be using the tool again on my face and I will also try the large disk for the little bumps I always seem to have on my arms.  I may even try this on my feet especially on my heels which are always a little rough.

For more information about this wonderful product check out

Disclosure:  I received the PMD Tool to facilitate my review of this product.  I have not received any other compensation.

Giveaway - Blankz Toy

I am happy to share this giveaway for a Blankz Toy.

 Blankz Giveaway

This giveaway is brought to you by Blankz Toys

The giveaway is hosted by Couponing With Integrity and Giveaway Gator. Co-hosts Mommy Lesson Plans and Budget Earth
About the blankZ
Do you sometimes feel like your kids have spent way too much time watching TV, playing video games, etc. and you want to get them away from all the electronics. BlankZ is a simple concept that will stimulate a child's creativity. This toy comes in several varities, and starts off as a clean slate, to be filled as far as a child's imagination can take them. These are so much better than coloring pages, which are used and thrown away, creating waste. The watercolor markers are non-toxic. When a child is done, you simply throw the toy in the wash and start all over again. This toy was packaged cleverly in a clear box, designed to look like a circus animal train car with a backdrop to design and a poem attached. BlankZ says in the future it plans to challenge budding artists by holding contests for the best designed blankZ toy,

Giveaway Oogieloves Prize Pack

The Oogiesloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure is coming soon to a theater near you.  This weekend I was invited to attend the Hollywood premier of the the movie and had such a great time watching the movie with my two year old.

The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure which is due out “Oogust” 29th was created by Kenn Viselman, who believes in the The Power of Mom. Kenn and his team have been traveling around the country engaging mom bloggers in conversations about what constitutes quality G-rated entertainment. It is easy to see that Hollywood has ignored the youngest moviegoers there have only been a few movies released that are really geared toward the young child.  These releases include a wildlife documentary and a re-release of a popular children’s movie in 3-D. The best Hollywood puts out for our kids is animated PG movies that are loaded with aggression and bloodshed.

As a MOM you have the power to change what Hollywood pushes on your children.  As a mom, you control the home, the family budget and your child’s welfare.  Are you tired of the violence and aggression in movies that are supposed to be geared towards your children.  I don't know about you but I think there is no place for this violence in a children’s movie. Enough is enough.

It’s this “enough is enough” attitude that got Kenn Viselman, the marketing genius who introduced us to Teletubbies, Thomas the Tank Engine, Noddy and Eloise, mad as h*ll. The end result is The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure, a film that reinvents the movie-going experience. This film a combination of a movie and a live show rolled into one - is the first-of-its-kind interactive family musical that encourages the audience to get out of their seats, dance, and sing. Visual and auditory cues invite the audience to “move” the action along, allowing parents and kids to interact not only with the characters, but also with one another.

The story follows the Oogieloves - Goobie, Zoozie and Toofie - as they prepare for a surprise birthday party for their friend, Schluufy. When their guardian, J. Edgar, loses the last five magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville, the Oogieloves take action. Along the way, they meet Rosalie Rosebud (Toni Braxton), Dottie Rounder (Cloris Leachman), Lola and Lero Sombrero (Jaime Pressly and Christopher Lloyd), Milky Marvin (Chazz Palminteri), and Bobby Wobbly (Cary Elwes). The movie opens in theaters “Oogust” 29th.

For this movie to be successful – and change the way children’s movies are made in Hollywood. – moms need to take thier kids to see the movie and tell your friends and family so they can take their children too!

If you are interested in learning more check out the Oogieloves website.  While you are there be sure to check out the educational Parent Guide. There is no force greater than The Power of Mom.
