Giveaway & Review - New Purex UltraPacks Plus OXI

As a mom I like products that make your life easier and of course save you money.  I have been using Purex products for years as I routinely find them to cost less.  I recently found out about the Purex Insiders program and signed up.  I received my first Purex product to review and share with my readers.  I received a package of the New Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi Zout stain removers.  I had not previously tried this particular Purex product before.  I used these with my laundry yesterday and I was happy with the results.  I didn't have any particular stains I was trying to get out.  Yeah a week without spilling something on myself that is an amazing feat.

If you are not familiar with laundry detergent pods or packs they are a perfect form factor as you don't have to worry about measuring you just toss the pack in your washing machine and start the wash.  I was thinking these would be helpful for my daughter who lives in the dorms as she would not have to worry about lugging a heavy bottle of detergent to the laundry room.

The New Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi work to remove tough stains.  Each UltraPack contains concentrated DirtLift Action formula with 2X times the cleaning power in every drop.  I know I personally save money by using Purex products.

How would you like to try these new Purex UltraPacks?  Well I am happy to be giving away 3 coupons for 3 lucky people.  Enter on the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win a coupon for the New Purex UltraPacks.

Only one entry per person open to anyone in the US.

Giveaway & Review - Del Real Foods

As a working mother, I am always on the lookout for a quick and easy meal that is healthy too.  I love a good home cooked meal but honestly I just don't have the time during the week to to make meals that will take hours to prepare.  I recently came across Del Real foods on another blog, in the process of entering a giveaway for some of their products, they contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing their products and doing a giveaway.  I was of course very interested in their products because they ready to heat and eat and I love Mexican food.  Of course Mexican food is a staple food here in Southern California or at least in my house it is.

Del Real Foods refrigerated products include carnitas, barbacoa, tamales, seasoned shredded beef, shredded chicken and more.

Del Real Foods was founded in 2003 and is family business based in California. Del Real Foods products are based on the following pillars: Authenticity, Healthy People, Healthy planet and better communities.  Their products are gluten free and trans fat free, I can certainly appreciate this.  They use locally sourced ingredients and traditional cooking methods.

Del Real Foods has some great recipes on their website you can check them out at the Del Real Foods recipes

Here are some of the pictures of the food I got to sample.  I was not disappointed at all.  Everything was so delicious.  I will say that the salsa was too hot for me but my husband loved it.  My son devoured the chicken which is amazing since he is a picky eater.  You will notice the veggie section of his plate is empty as he rarely eats them.  I loved the rice but my son did not most likely because it had veggies in it.

Is your mouth watering yet, well how would you like to win your own party in a box.  Check out the picture to see what you could win.  If you don't want to wait you can locate a store near you that carries Del Real Foods you will see the store locator function on the right side of their website.
Trust me you will not be disappointed in this delicious food.  You can enter using the Rafflecopter form below.

My 3 year old really loves basketball so I did a search on CafePress.com for basketball.  I could not believe how many products came up it was pretty amazing.  I narrowed the options to kids t-shirts and found this totally cute shirt.

After searching t-shirts I thought I would see what they have for water bottles with a basketball on them.  This one was my favorite because you can put your child's name on the bottle.

They even have different coffee mug designs, fun t shirts, your can even create a shirt too.

Giveaway & Review - Poopendous! kids picture book

I love to read stories to my three year old and it is always fun to read new ones to him and see how he responds. I was contacted by author Artie Bennett to review his latest book Poopendous! With a title like that I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pretty sure it would be funny. What was most interesting to me was that my little one was listening intently to me as I read the book to him. He tends to like books with rhyme and this book is packed with great rhymes that are so funny. I laughed out loud several times actually.  Now my son is asking for the "poop book" at bedtime.

The story is all about poop of course with the main character, Professor Pip Poopdeck, introducing the many names and uses of poop. The illustrations are bright and colorful and will surely keep your little ones entertained and maybe even garner a few laughs from yourself.

Artie's previous title "The Butt Book" was the Winner of the Reuben Award for Book Illustration and named the Best Feel-Good Children’s Book by The Huffington Post. Artie Bennett is the executive copy editor for a children’s book publisher and he writes a little on the side (but not the backside!). His itch to write gave us The Dinosaur Joke Book: A Compendium of Pre-Hysteric Puns (currently extinct) when he was a much younger man. The Butt Book, however, was his first “mature” work.

Artie was the youngest (at about age thirteen) person to originate and sell a crossword
puzzle to the New York Times. He went on to sell several dailies and two large Sunday
puzzles to the Times before he began college. He and his wife, Leah, live deep in the bowels of Brooklyn, New York, where he spends his spare time moving his car to satisfy the rigorous demands of alternate-side-of-the-street parking.

Here is some praise about Poopendous!

“For anyone who loved The Butt Book, you must immediately go and buy Artie Bennett’s
follow-up, Poopendous! It appears there is no topic Mr. Bennett can’t make funny and
educational. There aren’t many picture books that teach kids that “Monkeys fling when
under stress. It helps the monkey decompress” and “Seeds inside a critter’s poop might
go as far as Guadeloupe!” I’m not kidding when I say this came in handy at my son’s
preschool last week.”
