Twitter Follow to Win Cash For Yourself and the Animal Charity of Your Choice

Two Little Cavaliers and Pamper Yourself in Pink got together with some truly amazing bloggers and small business owners to bring you a Social Media Event unlike any other we have done before. Not only will the winner of the event receive cash via Paypal but they will also get to name an animal charity near and dear to their hear that they would like a donation sent to.

The winner will receive $112 Cash Prize for themselves via Paypal and $213 sent directly to their charity of choice!

All you need to do is use the Rafflecopter tool below to enter for your chance to win!
Don’t know what organization you would donate the money to? I noticed a few of you said you wanted to donate to human charity organizations that is not the aim of this event but there is certainly room for an event of that type at some later point. There are countless organizations out there that offer aid to animals that then benefits the people around them. The donations can be made to guide dog organizations, or the Puppy Rescue Mission that helps our troops bring the dogs back that they saved and formed bonds with in Afghanistan.
I thought I would introduce you to an organization called World Vets. This is an organization that the entire Pet Blogging Community has worked with in the past and helped raise money for. Some of us have even gotten to meet the founder of the organization while attending BlogPaws. The focus of World Vets is to provide international veterinary assistance to impoverished nations outside of North America as well as offer assistance to countries that have experienced major natural disasters. World Vets was one of the first organizations on the ground after the Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan in March. Not only were they caring for the animals and bringing much needed supplies to the region they brought the shocked country hope with each animal they were able to help.

Looking For Scrubs

Although I am not a nurse and do not work in the healthcare field, I will add to my favorites sites.  See my daughter is graduating high school this year and plans to go into nursing.  So she will need scrubs at some point in college when she has the classes where you actually work in a medical setting.  Nursing is such a great field to get into and I hope she decides to stick to that career path.

If you are in the market for nursing scrubs check out the great options they have at Blue Sky Scrubs.

Great Deals on Android™ Phones from Sprint

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sprint for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

More Great Holiday deals on Android™ powered EVO 4G devices or EVO™ Shift devices for a limited time!

I am so jealous my husband just started a new job and they gave him the EVO 4G.  He let me take the phone for a test drive and I must say I love it.  This phone has an awesome picture.  I could not believe how vibrant the colors are.  I was so surprised that the touch screen is super responsive. Some phones with a touch screen are not very responsive.  Kind of like the Windows phone I have from a few years ago.  I found the phone to be very easy to navigate. Santa pretty please bring me a new EVO 4G for Christmas.  I am ready to ditch the old Windows phone and get a new Android™ phone.  I would love to get the same phone my hubs was lucky enough to receive from his new job.

If you are interested in getting a new Android™ from Sprint check out the links below fro some great deals.

Rite Trip 12/11/2011

First let me give credit to The Frugalette for figuring out this deal.

I get 2 papers at home but for this awesome deal I needed to buy 5 more. The Smart Source newspaper insert that came in the Orange County Register did not include the great $7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients Vitamin coupon.

So I purchased $5 more Los Angeles Times Orange County edition at a cost of $10.78.

Transaction 1
3 Centrum Pro Nutrients Fruit & Veggie supplement $10.79 each (normal price is $11.99, I have a 10% wellness discount)
Total Before coupons and tax $32.37
Coupons used
$7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients
$7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients
$7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients
$1 off +UP Reward from a previous shopping trip
Total after coupons $10.37 (plus tax $12.88)
Earned a $10 +UP Reward

Transaction 2
3 Centrum Pro Nutrients Fruit & Veggie supplement $10.79 each (normal price is $11.99, I have a 10% wellness discount)
Total Before coupons and tax $32.37
Coupons used
$7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients
$7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients
$7 off Centrum Pro Nutrients
$10 off +UP Reward from Transaction 1
Total after coupons $11.37 (plus tax $3.88)
Earned a $10 +UP Reward for Centrum and a $10 +UP Reward for Season of Savings,
I also earned a $2 Single Check Rebate by purchasing 3 Centrum Pro Nutrients.

If you figure the total out of pocket cost including the 5 newspapers I needed to buy then my total out of pocket is ($27.54 minus $2 for SCR = $25.54)  for 6 boxes of this supplement which works out to $4.26 a box.  This is without factoring in the $20 in +UP Rewards I still have left to spend at Rite Aid.  If you factor this in  my cost was only $5.54 or $0.92 per box.

There are was you could make the deal better by Signing up for the Wellness Diabetes program you could earn an addition $10 +UP Reward.  If you happen to already be enrolled or are not in Southern California then this may work for you.  The website says *Allow up to 5 days after enrollment for benefits including +UP offers to be activated.  Since I was not already enrolled in this program I was unable to get the additional $10 +UP Reward.

Secondly there is a diabetes coupon book that has a $2.00 of Centrum coupon but my Rite Aid did not have this booklet.

Thirdly if you have the 20% Wellness discount then you will also pay less out of pocket.

Lastly if you happen to have more than $1 UP+ Rewards from other shopping trips then your out of pocket will be less.

I am curious to try this supplement and see if I feel any different.  It seems like a good idea being they are made form 100% naturally sourced grapes, blueberries, raspberries, plums, carrots, and tomatoes.

If you are interested in the other types of supplements they were $12.99 and $18.99 each at my store I don't recall which types were which price.

What Do You Think of My New Blog Header and Button?

I am so happy to have won a giveaway sponsored by TJ who blogs at Measuring Flower.  She was giving away the design of a blog button and a header image. It may have been a leaderboard image but she kindly created a header image for me instead.  I must say it was super easy to work with TJ.  Being a new blogger I wasn't really sure what I even wanted on the button I just new the previous one I created myself was pretty boring LOL.  She gave me some ideas and I responded back.  Then she went to work creating the great header image you see on my blog today.  The whole process took 2 days.

If you are looking for someone to design a blog image or button for you then check out TJ's Design Elements where you can see samples of her work.

TJ thank you again for the great images you provided me and good luck with you delivery and new baby.

What Would You Have Done?

I wanted to share my almost disastrous Tuesday night dinner.

I woke up early to chop the celery, carrots and onions for the chicken noodle soup I was going to make when I got home from work. I put the chicken breast in the big stock pot with some garlic and the onions I had cut up. I filled it up with water and put the pot in the fridge.

When I got home from work, I put the vegetables in the pot and put the pot on the stove to cook the chicken and veggies. After a process of straining the soup to get clear broth, I shredded the chicken into bite sized pieces. I put the chicken back in the pot and put the noodles in to cook in the soup. I had the pot on for about 10 minutes when I went to stir the soup and discovered the new brand of noodles I used turned into mush. Well I didn’t want to dump it.

So here is where the real fun begins. I decided to salvage the soup by essentially rinsing the chicken and vegetables, putting them back in the pot and using some bowtie noodles that I had. So basically I started the soup making process at about 5:15 pm and the soup was finally ready at about 7:30 pm. Crazy but salvaged and now we have a big pot of Chicken and bowtie soup to enjoy for several days. Am I crazy or would anyone else have rinsed the chicken?

Truly Awsome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am not sure if you have heard about BzzAgent, I have been a member of this word of mouth marketing site for a couple of years now.  When you join the site you get to participate in campaigns to try new products.  Once you try the products you share your honest opinions with people either face to face or even on your blog (if you have one).

A few weeks ago I received 2 boxes of The Truly Awesome homestyle chocolate chip cookies from Ralphs. BzzAgent sent the cookies (for free) for me to try and share with other people.  I had planned on taking a box to work to share with everyone but everyone at home gobbled up the cookies so I was only able to bring half of a box to work.  The people I shared with at work loved the cookies.  I thought the cookies were very good like one's you would make yourself at home.

Don’t let the fact that this is a Ralphs brand fool you, many people think that store brands are inferior.  I would say that is not the case with these cookies from Ralphs.  One thing that caught my attention on the package is that there are no added preservatives or artificial flavors.  Any time I see that a product doesn’t have artificial flavors I am excited as I try to eat as healthy as possible. I know you are thinking how healthy are cookies but we all deserve a treat every once in a while.  In my honest opinion these are one of the best packaged cookies I’ve tried.  Next time I am shopping at Ralphs I will be purchasing more of these cookies.

If you would like to sign up to become a BzzAgent stop by the BzzAgent website.

The New Girl

The New Girl
The article written by Landon Gilbert

So there is this new show that I started watching on It has one of my favorite actors in it, Zooey Deschanel. I think she is just the bee’s knees. She always plays parts that are a bit quirky which is, I think, a bit like she probably is in real life. The part that she plays in The New Girl is no different. The premise of the show is that she had to move out of her old place and ended up living with three guys. She has a weird relationship with each guy in that she is not quite sure how to act around them. They are not love interests of hers but she still has a strange chemistry with at least one of the male characters on the show. The writers take us on a journey of Zooey’s character learning to live with three bachelors in an apartment that is the size of a small mansion. Unrealistic that they would be able to afford to live there in real life? Yes, of course. But isn’t that how television goes?
