Truly Awsome Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am not sure if you have heard about BzzAgent, I have been a member of this word of mouth marketing site for a couple of years now.  When you join the site you get to participate in campaigns to try new products.  Once you try the products you share your honest opinions with people either face to face or even on your blog (if you have one).

A few weeks ago I received 2 boxes of The Truly Awesome homestyle chocolate chip cookies from Ralphs. BzzAgent sent the cookies (for free) for me to try and share with other people.  I had planned on taking a box to work to share with everyone but everyone at home gobbled up the cookies so I was only able to bring half of a box to work.  The people I shared with at work loved the cookies.  I thought the cookies were very good like one's you would make yourself at home.

Don’t let the fact that this is a Ralphs brand fool you, many people think that store brands are inferior.  I would say that is not the case with these cookies from Ralphs.  One thing that caught my attention on the package is that there are no added preservatives or artificial flavors.  Any time I see that a product doesn’t have artificial flavors I am excited as I try to eat as healthy as possible. I know you are thinking how healthy are cookies but we all deserve a treat every once in a while.  In my honest opinion these are one of the best packaged cookies I’ve tried.  Next time I am shopping at Ralphs I will be purchasing more of these cookies.

If you would like to sign up to become a BzzAgent stop by the BzzAgent website.

Comparison Shopping for Dishwashers

If you live in Canada, I heard about this great site for comparison shopping on dishwashers.  If you are in the market for a new dishwasher you should check it out.

They also are giving away $1,000 for eight weeks.  Two weeks have passed already but there will be winner per week for the next 6 weeks.  Too bad you must be Canadian to win this one.

Great Deal on Noise-Isolating Earphones

I just purchased this deal on noise-isolating earphones from Eversave and thought I would share it with my readers.  I purchased these for my daughter and I am hoping these will last longer than the $10 ones I usually buy several times a year.

The earphones normally cost $60 but you can get them for 60% off/$24, plus free shipping!

Use promo code 'CYBER' for an additional $3.00 savings.  This would make the earphones only $21.00.

Happy Shopping
Denise

Disclosure:  If you have not made a purchase from Eversave before and you make a purchase through one of the links in this post. I will receive a $10 Eversave credit.

The New Girl

The New Girl
The article written by Landon Gilbert

So there is this new show that I started watching on tvbydirect.com. It has one of my favorite actors in it, Zooey Deschanel. I think she is just the bee’s knees. She always plays parts that are a bit quirky which is, I think, a bit like she probably is in real life. The part that she plays in The New Girl is no different. The premise of the show is that she had to move out of her old place and ended up living with three guys. She has a weird relationship with each guy in that she is not quite sure how to act around them. They are not love interests of hers but she still has a strange chemistry with at least one of the male characters on the show. The writers take us on a journey of Zooey’s character learning to live with three bachelors in an apartment that is the size of a small mansion. Unrealistic that they would be able to afford to live there in real life? Yes, of course. But isn’t that how television goes?

Win Organic Dairy Products for a Year

I signed up for the Organic Valley newsletter quite a long time ago.  You can visit Organic Valley Subscription Center to sign up if you like.  I enjoy the articles they send.  Today's newsletter contained a link to enter a contest to win organic dairy products for a year.  Just the opportunity to win a prize like this is really great but there is another added perk.  Every time someone enters the contest they will donate $0.20 to Wholesome Wave.  This sounds like a great organization that gives families in need access to healthy, nutritious food.

Enter to win a year's worth of Stonyfield or Organic Valley dairy products. One winner is drawn at random each week. Go here to enter Stonyfield / Organic Valley giveaway.

Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo To Be Reformulated

I just found out that on November 1, 2011 Johnson & Johnson announced they will reformulate the Baby Shampoo they make in the US.  They had previously removed the harmful chemicals from the formulations in other countries.  At the time when I wrote this post Boycott of Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo I did not know that they had agreed to do this.  I just found out this morning about the steps J&J is taking from the website MomsRising.org.  I have signed their thank you letter to J&J.  I will stay away from the shampoo until they announce that the chemical has been completely removed.  If you sign the thank you letter MomsRising.org will let you know when the chemicals have been removed.

Boycott of Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo

Okay yesterday I was appalled  when I read this story on MSN about the Boycott of Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo.  How can they get away with leaving these chemicals in baby products?  I have been using the J&J Baby Shampoo and Aveno Baby Wash since my son was born and he will be two in a few days.  It is amazing to me that J&J makes these products in formulations that do not contain trace amounts of potentially cancer-causing substances; however, not in the US.  Really the harmful substances have been taken out in other countries why not in the US.

I stopped using these products last night and I will not use them any longer I am going to see if I can buy some natural or organic products with my Eversave voucher for Abe's Market.

I wanted to share this with everyone in case you may be using the affected products.  Please check out the article if you.  I think it is better to be safe and not use the affected products why take the chance.

Thanks for reading
Denise

The link to Eversave is an referral link if you sign up on this link I will receive an credit with Eversave.
